Welcome to Little Rascals Playschool in Ballinasloe

Little Rascals is a pre-school in Ballinasloe, located on the Shannonbridge Road, and has been in operation since 1996. Little Rascals Playschool has been under new management since September 2015. The playschool proprietors’ names are Claire McGreal and Miriam Murphy. The premises has undergone renovations and has been newly decorated to ensure our playschool meets the children’s needs, as they come first and foremost! The playschool is bright and spacious and offers a warm, cosy and safe environment.

Our playschool consist of two large playschool rooms, an art room and a large secure outdoor garden. Each room in the playschool is equipped to the highest standard with a large selection of toys, materials and equipment to ensure the children can play and learn in a safe stimulating environment.

All our playschool staff are extremely professional, experienced and have recognised childcare qualifications. Our playschool staff are committed to providing the highest standard of childcare in a home from home environment. All playschool staff are trained in first aid and strive to enhance their professional development.

Little Rascals Playschool aims are as follows:

Our Practice

Our practice at Little Rascals Playschool is at all times guided by Siolta’s standards and by Aistear, the National Curriculum Framework.

At Little Rascals Playschool Ballinasloe we are committed to delivering a child-centered programme of learning which will promote each child’s sense of identity, belonging and personal well-being. Through our knowledge and understanding of how children learn and develop, we facilitate each child to share and communicate their ideas, while they explore and problem solve through meaningful play experiences. By using the four themes of Aistear we will encourage each child to become confident and capable learners.
